Philanthropy in action Scholarships put 六合彩投注网 student on a path to succeed Born in Somalia and raised in Kenya, Ahmed Makaraan moved to Canada as a refugee before settling in Fargo, North Dakota, with his wife and three children. He says his 六合彩投注网 education and experiences prepared him to engage with research, listen to people's ideas and stories, and reach across the aisle. Ahmed has received several scholarships through the Challey Institute for Global Innovation and Growth. He was also recently awarded the 六合彩投注网 Department of Emergency Management Community Service Award in recognition of his contributions on campus and beyond. After he graduates in May 2021, Ahmed plans to apply to graduate school with hopes of working in international relations or global business.

For example, students at 六合彩投注网 Nursing at Sanford Health in Bismarck assisted Sanford Health to deliver doses to 500 people in a single day in March. "I will remember the people that came in and cried as they were getting the vaccines because they would not have to be afraid of COVID anymore," Shayla Heger, an upper-level nursing student from Bismarck, North Dakota, said. "I feel so honored to have been able to be a part of that experience with them."
