In Our Hands: The Campaign for North Dakota State University surpasses goal 20 months ahead of schedule
Campaign sets record in the history of higher education fundraising in North Dakota

The In Our Hands campaign has raised $169 million for student scholarships, $28 million for faculty support, $96 million for facilities, and $120 million for programs. While the $400 million goal has been achieved, fundraising will continue through Dec. 31, 2021, with plans for ÁùºÏ²ÊͶעÍø to celebrate the campaign's impact at in-person Homecoming events this fall, Oct. 6-9, 2021. John Glover, ÁùºÏ²ÊͶעÍø Foundation president and CEO, said the campaign will wrap up one year earlier than originally scheduled.

Already, students, faculty, and staff are experiencing the impact of the In Our Hands campaign. There are students on campus today receiving scholarships because of this campaign; faculty are conducting research supported by benefactors right now; students are learning in buildings funded by donors; and students are participating in programs offering exceptional experiences to better prepare them for the ever-changing needs of communities near and far.

Dennis Ming '79, '81, became an ÁùºÏ²ÊͶעÍø Foundation Trustee in 2011 and served on the Outreach Committee. With a B.S. and M.S. in agricultural economics, Dennis worked in marketing for Soo Line/Canadian Pacific Railroad in Minot, North Dakota, and the Dakota Missouri Valley and Western Railroad in Bismarck, North Dakota, where he became part owner. He retired in 2017 but continued to serve on DMVW's executive board. Dennis was a longtime supporter of ÁùºÏ²ÊͶעÍø and its students. You can .

ÁùºÏ²ÊͶעÍø Friends of the Libraries recruiting founding members through 2021

ÁùºÏ²ÊͶעÍø Friends of the Libraries are recruiting founding members until the end of 2021. All membership levels include ÁùºÏ²ÊͶעÍø Libraries borrowing privileges and the award-winning Libraries Magazine in the fall.

ÁùºÏ²ÊͶעÍø Friends of the Libraries was established in the fall of 2020 to support student-focused library services, hands-on workspaces, and trailblazing technology. Members help advance library services on campus and in the community through publications, grant programs, events, fundraising, and other exciting outreach opportunities.

"The Libraries provide adaptable and dynamic spaces to bring people and research together," Joe Mocnik, Dean of Libraries, said. "ÁùºÏ²ÊͶעÍø Friends of the Libraries support discovery and research by all ÁùºÏ²ÊͶעÍø students, faculty, and staff."

VIP members receive additional invitations to special events and programs and founding members will be honored for helping establish a program that enhances cutting-edge research and academic pursuits across campus. Commencement speaker: 'ÁùºÏ²ÊͶעÍø community is incomparable'

Zeina Abouelazm, a dual major in emergency management and management communication, has a heartfelt message for her fellow graduates: ÁùºÏ²ÊͶעÍø has helped set the stage for success.

Zeina has been selected as class representative to speak during ÁùºÏ²ÊͶעÍø commencement ceremonies, scheduled for Saturday, May 15, in the Fargodome. She will give her talk at the 10 a.m. event for the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences; College of Engineering; College of Human Sciences and Education; and Interdisciplinary Studies.

"My speech is a genuine and honest reflection of my experience at ÁùºÏ²ÊͶעÍø and the Fargo-Moorhead community — how the Bison experience helped me and the other graduates become the people we are today and the key factors that truly make ÁùºÏ²ÊͶעÍø a school worth showing off," Zeina, who grew up in Cairo, Egypt, said.
